Super Low Energy Building

High Street Centre, a commercial building that was built in the 1970s, engaged Comfort Management to go green and transformed its air conditioning system from multiple water-cooled package units to centralised chilled water plant, which is far more efficient in energy use.

With Comfort Management’s project planning and execution expertise, the building achieved its goals without any disruption to building services which is an important criterion for any existing buildings undergoing retrofitting. Its results surpassed BCA’s stringent energy target to secure incentives funding for the project, bringing about good payback on investments.

Energy Retrofit for Lasting Impact:

The major upgrade of converting to a centralized chilled water system with advanced controls has dramatically reduced energy consumption and cut 1,000 tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

With an Energy Use Intensity (EUI) of 110 kWh/m²/year, the building ranks top 10% of energy-efficient buildings, proudly meeting the BCA’s Super Low Energy Building (SLEB) benchmark.

Beyond economic benefits, the retrofits delivered enhanced indoor comfort and air quality, boosting productivity and well-being.
